Parting The Waters is a feature-length documentary about one woman’s journey to find herself.
Michele Kuvin Kupfer was a member of the 1980 Israeli Olympic Swim team and the 1981 Maccabiah Games, where she underwent a personal and athletic coming of age.
Now after 40 years, and in the midst of incredible personal loss and tribulation, Michele tries to reassemble some of her teammates and compete in the 2022 Maccabiah Games.
Inspired by Michele and her teammates’ life experiences, our documentary chronicles Michele’s own personal journey from young-to-masters swimmer, in the context of Jewish life in the US and Israel through the prism of the world of sport.
